My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ginger, the pint-sized sweetheart with a heart as warm as her name! At just about a year old, this tiny bundle of fur has already proven she’s wise beyond her whiskers. As a young mom, Ginger knows all about responsibility, but now it's her turn to be pampered. She might be a little shy at first, but she melts like butter with a few gentle pets, especially head and chin rubs. Before you know it, she’ll be curled up in your arms, purring away while being held like a baby.

Ginger has a soft touch—literally! She’ll paw ever-so-gently for attention, and she’s known for her signature move: a playful “bloop” onto her back to show off her adorable belly for rubs. This little one is independent enough to enjoy her own space, often choosing to snooze next to her foster mom’s legs at bedtime, but don’t be fooled—she *loves* human playtime and companionship.

She gets along well with other cats and even dogs, as long as there’s a proper, slow introduction. With no mean bone in her body, Ginger is all sweetness and soft purrs. And if you’re looking for a talented biscuit-maker, she’s your girl—ready to knead her love into every cozy spot she finds.

Plus, this petite adventurer is harness-trained and ready for outings with her new family! Ginger is on the lookout for a home where she’ll be adored as much as she adores her humans. If you’re ready to fall head over heels, Ginger is available for adoption and ready to find her forever home! 🧡

All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV tested, FVRCP vaccinated, treated for fleas, dewormed and microchipped. Go meet their pets

All of our cats and kittens are in foster homes. Due to the current public health concerns, we are doing all of our adoptions with virtual meet and greets. We will connect you to the foster parent and and then you will arrange a convenient time to virtually meet your potential kitty. We find that these video calls are very effective in being able to see the cat in its comfortable home environment.

More about this rescue

Founded by Andrea Montoya, Andrea's Dream Rescue is a rescue and rehab for all ages of cats in need. Our mission is to rescue cats from high kill shelters before they are euthanized.
Our primary focus is rescuing cats from the Central Valley. We transport cats and kittens to the Bay Area to be lovingly fostered, vetted, rehabbed, and adopted. Andrea’s Dream Rescue is proud to be giving cats a second chance at life and will do everything we can to provide a loving, healthy, safe haven to any cat that comes through its doors.
