Santa Claws is a domestic shorthair who was brought into our care in October of 2024 as an owner surrender. He is a very sweet and vocal boy who can't help but scream with excitement when he sees you coming to give him affection! He is very active and is looking for a fun and loving family to join! He is such a sweetheart and LOVES to play but on his downtime he can be the biggest cuddle bug! Santa Claws will need to go home with another cat or kitten to keep him company when the humans are busy to avoid any behavioral issues by being left alone. He loves other younger, playful kitties and has not been around dogs but will need a very slow introduction to whatever resident pet he will be meeting to ensure that they get a chance to adjust to each other confidently.

For all dog adoptions, we do require a meet and greet with any other dogs that are in your household.

Our adoption centers are open 7 days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Kitten Adoption Fee: $120
Cat Adoption Fee: $100

Kitten/Cat adoption fee includes:
- Spay/neuter
- FVRCP
- Depending on age: Leukemia and Rabies vaccinations
- De-worm
- Flea treatments
- Microchip ID*

Puppy Adoption Fee: $200
Dog Adoption Fee: $180

Puppy/Dog adoption fee includes:
- Spay/neuter
- DA2PPv
- Depending on age: Rabies, Bordetella, Canine Influenza, and Leptospirosis vaccinations
- De-worm
- Flea treatments
- Microchip ID*

*Every animal adopted from Valley Animal Center will have a microchip ID. However, it is the adopter's responsibility to register the microchip ID as soon as possible. Otherwise, if the pet gets lost, the microchip ID will not have the adopter's contact information.

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
