My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brennan is a domestic shorthair who was brought into our care in October of 2024 after being illegally dumped on our property along with his brother Dale(29130)
Both boys are as sweet and gentle as could be but they are extremely shy in new environments and when meeting new people. We don't know anything about what these poor boys went through but we are trying to socialize them and build their confidence up to be able to score their forever home! They are not required to go together but it would definitely benefit them to have another kitty around to give them more confidence in the home! Brennan will need to go into a home where his adopter is committed to helping him gain his confidence and have patience with him while doing so. If you are interested in helping one or, both of these boys open their hearts again, please feel free to ask staff more questions!

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
