My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***Guinea pigs are very social, and they benefit and thrive from the companionship of each other!
***Adopt one and HRA will waive the adoption fee when adopting another one!

Adorable little Pooky was left outside in a box. Who could do that to such an innocent little baby! He deserves better. Pooky cannot wait to get adopted as he is confused how he ended up in the shelter! Pooky is a lovely adult male guinea pig with an adorable tan and white furry jacket. He is so sweet and soft. He has been rather shy since he arrived, so we are giving him extra love. When he arrived, he was not in the best shape with long nails and some sores, so he really needs proper piggie care. Pooky might enjoy the company of another male piggie as they are super social and like to live in groups. Guinea pigs can be very active and playful, they always have fresh veggies and fruits, and they love toys. They like veggies, fruits, pellets and hay. Bananas, broccoli, celery, and carrots are yummies many piggies like too. Guinea pigs love large spaces to hang out, play and get some good naps. They also need proper chew toys as their teeth keep growing! They also must get their nails trimmed periodically too. These neat pets do have unique housing, nutritional and set-up needs so be sure to ask our adoptions counselors how to get ready to bring Pooky home.
