Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Erving, a sweet, affectionate, all around friendly boy with the cutest hound-like ears. He is so snuggly that he will happily let you carry him around like a baby because it is the ultimate love session- he is close to you and you are close enough to kiss! Take a peak and then come back to read more!

When I say puppy, we are not talking itty-bitty baby, he is est. to be 6 months old, but that is the perfect age to soak up all the training and routines. His love of life is adorably enthusiastic and he has an awesome disposition, easy-going and knows how to relax, adding some basic skills on to that is going to make him an absolute dream dog. One area where he shines despite still mastering the basics is on leash. He can momentarily hesitate but a little sweet talk reminds him that he has someone by his side and that makes him happy. Each and every walk he goes on you can see the confidence of a loved dog grow. He isn’t going to be the pulling type, the worst is you may have to be willing to sweet talk him every now and then which is honestly the best approach with any and every dog. More sweet talk! So far we know- snuggly boy and best walking-buddy!
This boy is also perfectly social, from people to dogs he is a friend first. We have introduced him to puppies and a variety of adult dogs and his doggie manners are solid. He is able to be respectful and friendly without any pushiness. Watching him make connections with other playful dogs is so cute, he lights up and really shows off his bouncy playful side.
On top of all that goodness, Erving was very respectful when he met our house cat. He would transition into a home with a cat well. Being able to establish the “rules” around a cat at this age will set him up for a lifetime as a successful cat-companion.
He has also recently discovered the joy of water! It started with a doggie pool and has expanded to a kiddie pool in his fosters backyard. He has had one heck of a good time splashing around in the pool and I can only imagine what that will look like at a beach or lake. Pretty sure it is going to be a joy-overload! Whether there is some hound in there we cant be sure of but we did hear a few little sounds sneak out when he was playing. Maybe he is a little vocal when his heart is happy, no matter what, we will testify to its adorableness.
He is perfection in our eyes! If you agree and have fallen head over heels for him, don’t wait, reach out or fill out an application today. These kind of cuties get adopted so quickly, we don’t want you to miss out. Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?
The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!
Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:
• 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)
• A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
• One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan
• 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan
• Coupons for a fun visit to Petco
• Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!
We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
