Eclipse is a playful and affectionate kitten with a unique love for cozy snuggles. While she's always down for some active romping, she truly shines when it's time to unwind-Eclipse loves being cocooned in your arms, snuggling up between your neck and shoulder, or curling in the crook of your knees for a nap. She likes it best when you pick her up wrapped in a blanket, then she's the ultimate cuddle bug. Eclipse gravitates toward any soft blanket in the house, and she adores climbing tight spaces, often exploring shelves and perching under desks. And with her window-gazing habit, she's always content to watch the world go by. She loves fuzzy toys, loose fabrics, balls, and string toys-and she's even found that your fingers and legs are perfect "playmates for a quick chase! She'd be happiest in a home with other cats, especially a young, active one to be her playmate and snuggle buddy.

We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
