My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lizzy is a border collie, about 10 years old, and worked on a ranch with my parents. My father passed away and my mother sold the ranch and moved to town. She is unable to keep Lizzy where she lives. My husband and I have had Lizzy through the summer. She is settled where we are but she isn't happy. She is very uncomfortable coming inside the house. We have 2 other dogs, and a dog door, but she won't come in with them, even when coaxed.
While on the ranch, she roamed 1000's of acres but has adjusted to our back yard well. She use to work with my dad, move cows, ride on the 4-wheeler or run along side of it. She got caught in a trap a few years ago and broke her front paw. She still runs on it but I know that it hurts her. For that reason, I think she should be at least a semi-retired cow dog.
Lizzy would be happiest with an older person, maybe with a barn she could sleep in. She is friendly and well behaved. She doesn't like cats or being brushed. She is a sweet dog.
