Wow!!! 5y/o Toby is an absolute dream. This big boy clocks in at 92lbs, and allowed for pets and all over today. He’s described as a loving puppy despite his age, and we hear he knows some basic commands! He is strong and looking for an active home. We’re still learning more about Toby when it comes to other dogs. He may not want to be best buddies or play with other pups, but could possibly tolerate an independent dog who will co-exist but give some space. Slow intros recommended, as always. More photos of Toby are on our website at vcas.us/dogs, and he is available for adoption now o’clock!!! at time of posting, Toby is at our Camarillo Shelter. If you would like more information or to adopt, visit our pets in person at either shelter location in Camarillo and Simi Valley. We are not able to take requests to hold or reserve an animal.
Adoption Fees:

Ventura County Animal Services (VCAS) operates two shelters within the county. The large main shelter in Camarillo houses over 400 pets and the administrative offices. Our smaller facility in Simi Valley houses nearly 40 pets at a time.

Each year, Ventura County Animal Services cares for more than 10,000 animals. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and find life-long homes for as many animals as possible, while providing proper care during their stay.
