Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Balto is thought to be around 3 years old by the vets, but his foster thinks he’s more like 1.5 because he’s so playful and full of energy.
From his foster: He’s got that puppy bite with a grown-up mouth—basically a malinois in a lab’s body! But he’s improving every day! He’s super sweet and loves to cuddle, plus he thrives on positive attention. He’s learned to sit instead of jumping, shake a paw, and “off,” and we’re currently working on “down” and “look.” He’s awesome on the leash and gets along great with other dogs.
He’s a fan of all humans too! He likes to sleep on the couch or will hop into his crate by himself. We’re addressing his fear of being contained. He’s not aggressive at barriers since he tries to lick my dog through the glass door, but he does not love being crated alone. He used to get anxious if we left him in the office with the door shut (it’s got glass doors), but now that we’ve been feeding him there, he just sits and waits for us to let him out when he’s done. If we try to feed him in the crate, he won’t touch his food. He would require a high quality crate for future crate training as he is a strong boy.

More about this rescue
Southern Nevada Animal Rescue League (SNARL) exists to provide a better life for adoptable homeless, abandoned, or abused animals. We aim to assist in the effort of limiting the overpopulation of these animals as well as educate the public against breed or size discrimination. There is no such thing as a “bad breed”, only bad humans. Our mission is to make sure all of the animals we rescue are placed in loving, safe, and viable fur-ever homes.
