Gussie was found as a stray at only a few weeks old prior to being brought into SAPA's foster care program. Since that day, she has been residing with her temporary family of 3 dogs, 4 cats and other foster kittens, and has developed into an adorable young lady with an amusing personality. For instance, Gussie particularly enjoys showing off by prancing around with a crinkle ball or some other small toy in her mouth.
When it's meal time, Gussie will stand on her hind paws while reaching out with her front ones, as if asking to be picked up.
Actually, it doesn't even have to be time to eat; if anyone makes the slightest of noises in the kitchen, she will magically appear! Gussie is definitely food motivated; she won't hesitate to sneak food from your plate. However, for a kitten with such a hearty appetite, you sure can't tell by her tiny spotted belly.
Upon your return home, Gussie will often greet you at the door (and does so alongside the 3 much larger canines in her foster home.) While seeking out the company of both dogs and cats, she also warms up quickly to people. She also likes to assist with any duties that may require her to walk back and forth across a keyboard while it's in use. Additionally, she has turned out to be a great beautician, rearranging ponytails into fashionable hair styles.
A few of Gussie's other interests include chasing her favorite foster sibling, Yuki, around the house at high speed and playing a game of tag with shadows. Although the 17-year-old feline matriarch doesn't particularly care for it, Gussie loves trying to catch her tail as it waves back and forth. Of course, Gussie won't refuse a good session of jumping at a feather wand, or batting around a crumpled piece of paper. When she finally does become sleepy, Gussie typically snuggles with a canine sibling while making muffins in their fur, or cuddles up at her foster mom's feet.
Outgoing and always wanting to be involved in whatever you are doing; Gussie will bring a tremendous amount of laughter and joy to your life. She is eagerly anticipating adoption into her forever home, and is fully prepared, having already been spayed
and vaccinated against rabies. Gussie does have one simple request, though, and that is for you to consider adopting Yuki, her foster sibling, as well. Gussie and Yuki are genuinely a bonded pair, in spite of not being biological siblings. They have been fostered together since first being rescued by SAPA, and only three days separate them in age.
