My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster writes:
It is impossible not to fall in love with Calamansi! She is the smallest and sweetest. In a couple of weeks, she has smoothly integrated herself into our household: she's not fussy about food and litter, loves treats, uses the scratching pad, lounges in sunny spots, and attacks her toy mouse and any string that dares cross her path. We have two resident cats and she has learned to sit for her food at meal times, like they do, and shares their litter box and even occasionally a snoozing spot. When resting on the floor, she does a cute, wide loaf position, we call "palmier paws." She's working on plumping herself up and growing in new fur, which is very soft. She is a little, silky, grey spot of joy!

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!

I have been known to shower my favorite people in love!

I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!

Calamansi interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that she go to a home with adopters with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in uncomfortable with pick up.

A volunteer writes:
Petite Calamansi was found by the police in an abandoned car, together  with four of her housemates and three kittens. What a pretty grey mouse she is, a bit on the thin side like her friends but lively and super friendly with her visitors. As I open her door, she immediately comes to greet me, leans, head bunts my hand and even plops herself down on her kennel floor for more in depth petting. She has the greatest appetite as I guess, her body knows that it has to get stronger. Calamansi and "company" are, all of them, great kitties, not only pretty but well mannered and welcoming. I imagine that Calamansi is a given name. Why that choice(a calamansi is a green or orange sour fruit)?I do not know as this little girl is grey and as sweet as pie...Calamansi is a lovely girl in need of TLC and a home sweet home. Come and meet her very soon at the Manhattan Care center.
