NEW INTAKE 10/29/2024: Scruffy Man - male - age TBD - weight TBD - Yorkie
Reason for intake: Scruffy Man came in with Kammi. We were contacted by the sister-in-law of the owner. The owner's house caught on fire... in August. Scruffy Man and Kammi were rushed to the vet for oxygen therapy. They were there for two weeks. The owner went to stay with his brother and his wife. The dogs joined after two weeks at the vet. Sometime thereafter, sadly the owner passed away as he had been very sick. His dogs were housed with the brother for a while but with four big dogs of their own, just could not keep them. They were staying in a travel trailer on the property. Anyway, we agreed to take them in. They are currently at our vet and we will have more information soon. Sad story but we are thankful we were able to help.
WE ARE NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. Be responsible ~ Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life. Blessings.
