My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It has been a pleasure fostering Hoppin Pops A Lot over the last 8 months and I am going to miss her so much but I am so excited for her to find her furever home. This girl is seriously something special and she deserves the world 🥹. She keeps you on your toes and constantly surprises you in the best ways.

Although her life started out really rough, she has never let it prevent her from LIVING.

🫶🏼✨Poppy✨🫶🏼
She is about a year old and around 40#.

She would do best in a home with multiple pets, she is very pack oriented. She LOVES my younger cat, sometimes a little too much 😂😂.

Good with kids - only note is she does have sensitive spots due to her injuries, so there shouldn’t be any kids jumping/plopping on her.

She would make a great shop dog, greeting people all day long would probably be her dream.

She has a bit of separation anxiety, and if she is alone and gets bored she will chew up random things like remotes and glasses 😅.

She LOVES hanging out with other playful dogs.

She is apprehensive and shy when meeting a group of people all at once but as soon as you level with her, she is all about kisses and love.

She’s an expert at cuddles and kisses, and has an unbelievably sweet soul 💕

She is incredibly smart but I jokingly call her the ADHD dog, she is not great at staying on task, wants to do 100 things at once, and moves around until she collapses 😂.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

If you see a pet you’re interested in or you don’t but you would like to adopt from our organization anyway, please fill out an application!

2.

Meet the Pet

We set up first meet and greets in a public location for you to get to know the dog(s) you’re interested in.

3.

Meet the Pet

We do require a second meet and greet, which also helps if you’re torn between multiples! We encourage you to meet at least 2 dogs!

4.

Home Check

If the home check is goes well and everyone is still confident, the contract is signed, fee paid and your new dog can stay that day!

More about this rescue

We are long-time animal lovers working hard to reduce the number of euthanized dogs in shelters. Our ultimate goal is to house and employ veterans, teach them how to prepare a dog for adoption and should they wish, reach them to run a successful rescue so they may take our model and open one anywhere there’s a need of Veterans and K9’s alike!
