AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - KARLIE
BREED - Bichon Frise
SIZE - About 10 pounds
AGE - 11 years
GENDER - Female
MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known
BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Karlie is a sweet little girl whose owner passed away in early summer. After her passing, the owner's friend took her, and another small dog from their home, into her care and provided long overdue veterinary care and immediate needs. Karlie has had a complete dental cleaning with extractions, vaccine updates, a spay surgery with mammary tumor removal and her coat and skin eradicated of fleas. This poor little gal was the beneficiary of great kindness, and now it's time for her to find her new home and family. Not only is she adorable, but he is super sweet. Karlie loves people and other small dogs, but is not a fan of young children. We suspect that she has a history of being mishandled by them as her mom was a daycare provider. This little sweetheart would be happy beside her special person enjoying a quiet life. Fully grown at just 10 pounds, she is a perfect size for most homes! We are seeking a home with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with her. A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will be in Karlie's best interest. She will make a wonderful companion for a senior person who is able to care for her independently.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Karlie and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Karlie at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting her and determining that she matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.
