My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

GENTLE NATURED GIRL LOOKING FOR FAIRLY QUIET, NURTURING PEOPLE TO FALL IN LOVE WITH. BEST WITH GENTLE OLDER KIDS, NO TODDLERS. GOOD WITH ONLY OTHER SWEET, GENTLE CATS. NO DOGS.
I`m a petite beauty that enjoys peaceful surroundings and loving people that make me feel safe. At my foster`s house there were not so nice cats that picked on me because I wouldn`t stand up for myself. I`m too sweet to fight back! If I do get scared or startled, I`ll still want you around, but I will hiss so you give me some distance as I regain my composure. Try to keep it a little extra quiet for me at first. I love when nice people come and talk to me. I`ll talk back in my sweetest soft voice. You`ll see me come over to sniff your finger and then let you pet me. It might be good to let me stay in one room for the first few days, just coming out to explore some of the rest of the house everyday and then going back. You`ll know when I feel at home. I will come out to a place I like and just stay there! I`ll probably like a large covered bed, a pop-up tent should do fine! I like a cushy bed and blankets on the furniture so I can come hang out with you, and make biscuits too! I`ll want a cat tree by the window, I like to jump up and climb and feel safe there. At first, start off gently and slowly with our wand toys until I start to chase and jump for it. Playing will start building my confidence and bravery to tackle everything else. I`m still a youngster that will be a little playful and enjoy having my toys and you to play with. I`ll be okay with a sweet cat buddy or just you and me. I`ll gradually blossom into the adorable little lady that my foster knew and loved, and you will too! P.S. I love cat treats!

More about this shelter

The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.

Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.

Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
