Behavioral issues

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our 20 month old Great Pyrenees/maremma mix has recently shown some aggression towards our daughter. She is intact, we were planning to spay her this week. My wife has stage 4 cancer and we have moved to seek out treatment. Our home now is not as conducive for her as our past home was, our situation has just changed with my wife’s health.

There was an incident with her getting a bit snippy with a friend of ours daughter as well. No blood or anything, just a scary moment.

She’s been good around most dogs, only got into it once with my sister in law’s dog. It was a dominance conversation, and her pup has some pit in her genetics. I can’t say it was obvious who started it. This was while she was in heat, so this may be the reason.

We love her very much, and this breaks our hearts, but I can’t in good faith keep her in our house around our kids, and my ill wife, and trust that she won’t do something like this again.

She would be a wonderful dog in a house by herself with adults.
