Meet Mama Missy, a sweet and happy 3-year-old, weighing in around 60 pounds. 🐾 Found as a stray, Missy has a heart full of love and is eager to share it with her forever family. She absolutely adores people and loves being with her humans, often wanting to lay in your lap but also appreciating her own space to stretch out. 🛋️ Missy is always happy to greet everyone and doesn’t bark at visitors or people in general. 😊
Missy is incredibly patient and loving with kids, making her a wonderful family dog. 👧👦 Despite her past, she remains a happy girl, full of curiosity, especially when it comes to other animals and wildlife. 🦌🐿️ She would love a home where she can chase wildlife to her heart's content. Missy walks well on a leash, though she does get excited and pulls when she sees other animals. She’s very food-motivated, which makes training easier. 🍖
Missy is friendly with small and medium dogs when off-leash but tends to bark and pull when on a leash. 🐕 She’s still learning how to be playful with other dogs and toys but may thrive with the guidance of a confident and relaxed dog who can show her the ropes. 🤩 Missy is working on potty training with a schedule and already knows how to sit. 🐶 She comes when called unless distracted by another animal. 🤭 Her current foster doesn’t crate her, and she’s adjusting well to home life. 🏡
Missy is looking for a loving home where she can feel safe, stable and loved. 😋 Could you be the one to give Missy the forever home she deserves?

Additional adoption info
Each pet that is available for adoption is in a foster home for a minimum of 2 weeks after being rescued. This allows the animal to decompress and show their true personality, which in turn helps us find their best match.

Periodically we have adoption events around the greater Rochester, NY area; however, we largely rely on the application process to best match people/families with available pets and then set-up a meet and greet to make sure it's a great match before finalizing the adoption.
