My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Lily! This sweet little kitten is the best of both worlds: she’s playful and full of kitten energy but also loves to cuddle up on your lap, purring contentedly as she settles in for a nap. Lily is already well-socialized, happily getting along with our dog, Athena, and other cats. She’s a curious climber, showing off her skills on her scratching post, and adores playing with her favorite mouse toys. If you’re looking for a furry friend who’s as affectionate as she is fun-loving, Liliy might just be the perfect fit for your family.

Most of Dexter's Kitties are fixed, chipped, SNAP combo tested and vaccinated for their age. The adoption fee is $125 for a kitten, $200 for two kittens. If you rent your home, we respectfully ask for your landlord or management company's information to confirm pets are allowed. If you own your home, we will check public records to confirm.

If the cat is still on our website, that means the cat is still currently available. If you have questions, your inquiries will be given priority if you submit an application www.DextersKitties.org. We are a volunteer team and try to respond as quickly as time allows.  And finally please remember that cats can live more than 20+ years, so this is a LIFE TIME commitment.  Please make sure you have the financial resources to cover emergency vet bills if your cat gets sick, a stable home, and someone to take the cat(s) if something heaven forbid happens and you can no longer care for them.  Thank you for adopting a rescue cat!

More about this rescue

Welcome to Dexter's Kitties! It is our mission to end the suffering and euthanasia of homeless cats by rescuing, spaying and neutering, and helping to find every adoptable cat a loving, permanent home.

Dexter’s Kitties, Inc. was formed by a small group of passionate animal lovers in the Lake Nona area who realized we are Stronger Together.

Our goals include:

Support community Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) of feral cats by providing coaching, traps, and financial assistance to neighborhood volunteers

Recruit and support foster families to help domesticate adoptable cats by providing coaching, emotional support, and financial assistance for feline medical services

Find permanent homes for adoptable rescue cats

Support community volunteers in the care of cat colonies
