Meet Hoover (aka Santa's Little Helper v2) – The Paw-fect Pet in time for all the holidays!
Are you looking for a loyal, lovable companion who's full of holiday spirit? Love The Simpsons? Meet Hoover, Santa's Little Helper version 2.0! This sweet, spunky brindle mix could be the four-legged friend your family's been dreaming of.
Hoover has been through thick and thin, primarily thick, abused, and on the streets, proving himself to be one resilient pup. Whether helping you on the couch or going on wild adventures, he's always up for a good time and ready to bring that same joy and energy to his new home!
About Hoover:
Brindle Mix, about 42 pounds, and heartworm+ which he is currently having treatment in New England. He is 8 years old but could be 8 months old with all the positive energy he has!
Personality Good: Lovable, playful, sweet, crate-trained, house-trained, wants to please (craves belly rubs), outdoorsy if you're into that, loves bigger dogs, likely good with children (no children in his foster home), and always ready to snuggle.
Personality In Progress: We are working on learning his name, basic manners, and leash training. A forever home must continue this work.
Must Haves: A home that allows couch snoozing for snuggles and belly rubs. A fenced-in yard for roaming and pretend foraging. No cats, no birds, no rabbits, no squirrels. Patience - this sweet boy is still learning but wants to learn!
Favorite Pastime: Running, eating, treats, belly rubs, and being the best friend you could ever ask for!
If you want to add some magic to your home this season, consider giving Hoover a chance to be your faithful companion. He's all dressed up and ready to go – let's make his holiday wish come true! Contact us to meet Hoover and let him race into your heart today!

More about this rescue
PAWS is comprised of a small group of volunteers from New England and Tennessee trying to reduce the euthanization rate (previously 90%) at the Tipton County Animal Control shelter in Brighton, Tennessee. This shelter is forced to euthanize thousands of animals each year due to irresponsible pet owners that do not spay/ neuter their dogs in the area. Millions of dogs in America are euthanized each year due to lack of space and lack of funding to try and find them better homes.
Our mission is to save as many animals as possible, removing them from the shelter, having their veterinary needs met prior to traveling and then finding them loving homes throughout New England. We do this only with the assistance of many people volunteering their time by going to the shelter, transporting the dogs to the vet, fostering dogs who need special care, and arranging for their new and happy homes in this area. Most importantly, we cannot do any of this without those people willing to open their homes and hearts to these lovely creatures.
