My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Violet is the ultimate love bug. Her goal is to sit and snuggle on top of her human all day. She will sit on your arm or lap while you're working and watching TV - or maybe even on your shoulder so she can get a bird's eye view of what is going on. She'll sleep on top of you while you're in bed - or she might just dive under the covers.

She is curious and loves to explore things around the house. She is a relatively low key kitty but does enjoy playing with a few toys including the cat dancer and chasing around a wand toy. She will get bursts of energy and just start running around. She can't help but sit in a box. She loves to run around with other kitties and play with them.

She does need another young kitty around to help get her energy out so her forever home needs kitty buddy. She hasn't met a dog but is likely fine with a dog-loving cat. She's mellow and will hang around when you have visitors over.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
