Elf is a 4 month old Italian Greyhound x Chihuahua mix looking to perch on your shelf (or lap) this festive season! Elf was rescued from the shelter after being surrendered for reasons unknown. He wasn’t on our radar at first, but we were drawn in by his puppy dog eyes and couldn’t walk past his kennel without scooping him into our arms and promising to save him. Elf weighs 5 pounds as of November 1st and we expect he will stay under 10 pounds fully grown. He’s the perfect petite little dude! Since his presence felt like magic, we named him Elf in honor of the season. Come and meet the world’s cutest Elf at your local Christmas tree farm today!

Elf is a happy and bouncy pup who is full of excitement and curiosity about the world around him. He has fabulous Dumbo ears and heterochromia which gives him such a unique look. He’s truly a one of a kind puppy! Elf loves being held and gives the best snuggles once he’s in your lap. He is super confident and knows how to charm his way into every situation. He’s the perfect level of independence as well: happy to be in a room alone and play but also thrilled to head out on an errand trip with you. You’ll never be able to hit up the coffee shop again without his legion of fans cooing over him, showering him in pup cups and pets. He’d also rock a collection of sweaters and bandanas. Hello Instagram star! He’s also a magician! He can make himself disappear if you give him a blanket. In the blink of an eye, he’s burrowed into a little cozy ball, ready for a nap or a cuddle. He’s also ready for a romp around the block, a trip to the North Pole, or a game of fetch in the yard. He’s got springy little legs that make him look like Tigger when he’s ready for fun! Elf may be small but his personality is absolutely bursting out of him. He knows that he’s got so much to show the world and he’d love to start his adventure with a perfect forever home.

Elf wakes up at 7 AM and goes out with the resident dogs for a potty break. He comes inside for breakfast which he happily gobbles up before seeking out a morning cookie. Once his people start their workdays, he curls up under a blanket and enjoys a morning nap. During the day, he keeps himself occupied with his toys, but he’s always ready for a game of fetch or a cuddle session in between Zoom calls. He eats again at 1 PM and then at 6 PM. Once everyone is done with work, he gets his zoomies out in the backyard, showing off his fabulously long legs as he chases a ball. He works on some training tricks before trotting back inside for dinner. In the evening, Elf gets all the cuddles and kisses he could ever want as he watches TV on the couch. He goes out for one last pee and then heads into his crate at 11 PM.

Elf currently lives with several dogs and cats and adores them all. He’d be a fabulous addition to a home with a resident dog but he’d also thrive solo. He’s super flexible like that. Elf is mostly potty trained and is crate trained. Interested homes should be prepared to continue Elf’s training and socialization so he is a perfect adult dog like he is a puppy. If you’re ready for some holiday magic in the form of the world’s cutest puppy, adopt Elf!

Elf is only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. Due to his small size, kids should be over the age of 10.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine.
