Meet Pixie! She is currently about 5 pounds, 2 years old, and we think she may be a Yorkshire Terrier/Miniature Poodle mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This dog is from a part of the US where dogs are regularly euthanized. So, this doggo needs you! We will give you three guesses how Perfect Pixie Cutie Pie got her name, but we honestly think you will get it on the first try. This adorable girl is fluffy and oh-so-huggable. You won't be able to resist squishing this cutie pie, and Perfect Pixie absolutely loves all the attention you can give her.
Pixie's only weakness is behind-the-ear scratches! We love to scratch behind either ear and watch this pint-sized cutie just LEAN into your hand enjoying it. So much so that she will fall over, so be ready to catch her, lol! Pixie is adorable and she won't be the only one falling - you TOO will fall for this tiny perfectly fluffy scruffy girl!
Pixie gets along well with other dogs of all sizes, and is a total social butterfly - she gives everyone she meets the chance to fall completely in love with her, lol. (Pixie believes in you and knows you are ready to adore her like we do.) Pixie is perky and fun-loving, but also fully committed to snoozing by your side (or in your lap, if you let her). She loves soft stuffies and chew toys and is looking for a soft and comfy dog bed near you. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!
The adoption fee is $1,600.00 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
