Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***Thanks to a generous donation from Tika’s owners, all senior cat adoption fees are being sponsored through our Tika Senior Cat Adoption Promotion – including Girlie's!
Girlie is a 14 year old spayed female. She is current on her vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative!
Meet Girlie! Girlie is a sweet and low-key older kitty who is ready and waiting to find her purr-fect quiet and relaxing forever home. She may be a bit shy and more reserved kitty but once you give her a bit of time to settle in, she will show you just what a sweet lady she is. She loves gets and attention from her favorite people and enjoys nothing more than just simply relaxing by your side. Being an older gal, she also does great with her independence and doesn't mind spending her days finding leisurely things to do while you are away. Her favorite things to do include relaxing next to a sunny window, lounging in her at tree or up high on a shelf, and (of course!) taking lots of long cat naps in a warm cozy bed to get all the extra beauty sleep she can get.
Girlie is a sweetheart who can be very shy around new people and gets stressed easily from a lot of chaos; so, she would do best in a low key and quiet home. She is looking for a family with older children at least 10 years of age who won't chase or startle her and understand she may prefer her independence at times. She currently resides in a communal living space here at the shelter with several other kitties and also lived with another cat at her last home. She doesn't seem to mind her feline friends and is able to easily co-exist with them but isn't necessarily co-dependent on them. So, we feel she should do ok with other low-key and mellow pets in the home given slow and proper introductions to one another.
If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application
