- Lovely dog - very kind
- Loves stuffies and Benebone toys and loves it when you play with him
- Rides well in the car and walks nicely on a leash
- Appears to be housebroken, just remember any dog may take time to adjust to a new schedule and routine
- Recently spent some time in one of our staff offices and seemed to want to be friends with the office cat, but the two did not actually interact
- Came to us from a situation where he didn't get the socialization that dogs typically get from a young age; looking for a patient family that understands he may need some time to settle in; once he feels comfortable he's a very sweet and friendly guy!
- Has struggled a little with medical handling and restraint, and we highly recommend taking him to a Fear Free-certified vet to help him succeed in these situations
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
