My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sophie is not just a Boxer mix, she's a black-masked bandit who will steal your heart. We warn you upfront that she is super hard to resist, whether you are staring into her warm, adoring brown eyes or petting her fawn colored fur.

Of course Sophie hopes that you do pet her and then pet her some more. She is a sweet, happy pup who thrives on human affection. But she is not a Velcro dog. In fact, Sophie loves the outdoors and is very athletic. Her foster home is in the country, allowing her to run and even swim, which she adores. Playing fetch is also high on the Sophie entertainment meter, as is daily romps with her foster siblings. You see Sophie loves dogs as much as she loves people. She would do very well in a house with other canines. Cats are untested, but Sophie is very obedient and has left nearby livestock alone.

Basically, if you have a love of Boxers, you will adore Sophie. She has most of her breed's wonderful qualities, including loyalty, playfulness and intelligence. She would make a great family pet. But Boxers like Sophie when not exercised regularly will sometimes do things you won't like, including chewing and digging. We have not seen this from Sophie but she is currently getting plenty of activity. So if you are looking for a loyal jogging buddy, or a trusty hiking companion, or live in the country, or like dog parks, or have a very large fenced in back yard and need a companion for your current canine, Sophie is the perfect pup for you..If you set up a meeting with her today, she'll thank you every day with her deeds and devotion.
