My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Audrey, the delightful 11-week-old Labrador Retriever mix and Brooks' beautiful sister! Like her brother, Audrey was found as a stray, and while we don't have a lot of details about her early days, we do know she's a bundle of joy and affection just waiting to find her forever home.

Audrey is a playful and curious puppy with a heart full of love. She adores human interaction and is always ready for some snuggles and belly rubs. Her sweet personality shines through in everything she does, making her the perfect addition to any family!

This little lady is eager to learn and is already showing her intelligence and playful spirit. With patience and positive training, she'll become a well-behaved companion who's ready for all of life's adventures, from long walks to cozy evenings on the couch.

Audrey is searching for a loving family who can provide her with the attention, playtime, and love she craves. Whether you're looking for a new adventure buddy or a loyal friend to cuddle with, Audrey is ready to fill your life with joy and laughter.

If you're interested in welcoming this affectionate pup into your home, come meet Audrey today! She can't wait to start her journey with you and make lasting memories together!

More about this shelter

Dogwood Animal Shelter is a non-profit, no-kill shelter.

Since its infancy, compassionate, like-minded volunteers have been the driving force behind Dogwood Animal Shelter. Through auctions and sales, a handful of dedicated people raised enough money to build its first, albeit small facility and was established as a 501(c) 3 in 1976. It was filled beyond capacity almost immediately.

The shelter is funded entirely from donations and proceeds from their Dogwood Animal Shelter Thrift Store.

After years of saving, planning and busting at the seams with fur-babies, in 2005 it was time to build a new facility with their own in-house clinic! Under the direction of Dr. John Reinhold and coupled with a very dedicated and gifted team of Veterinarians and staff, Dogwood Animal Shelter continues to offer low cost spays and neuters to the public as well as services to their shelter buddies; services to approximately 2,000 dogs and cats yearly!

Dogwood Animal Shelter began their journey of being a successful no-kill shelter in 1997, and since then has saved over 40,000 lives!
