My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Ronnie is currently in a foster home, and he is available for foster or adoption. Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet + greet! **

Hey there! I'm Ronnie, named after the unforgettable star of Jersey Shore! Just like my namesake, I'm a big-hearted pup with a strong personality and a fierce loyalty to my friends and family.

I love spending time with my humans, whether we're going on adventures, playing fetch, or just lounging around for some quality cuddle time. I've got a playful spirit and a protective side, making me the perfect companion for all kinds of fun and relaxation!

As Ronnie would say, "You gotta keep it real!" I'm here to bring authenticity and love into your life, always ready to support you through thick and thin. I may not be stirring up drama, but I'll definitely keep things exciting with my playful antics!

If you're looking for a loyal friend who knows how to have a good time, I'm your pup! Let's create some amazing memories together-come meet me, Ronnie!

More about this shelter

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
