Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ellie Mae
***Thanks to a donation from the Andy and Connie Ziemelis Charitable Fund, select cats are having their adoption fees sponsored by the Home Sweet Home Program – including Ellie Mae's!
Ellie Mae is a 3 year old spayed female. She is current on her vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative!
**Words from her foster**
"Ellie Mae knows EXACTLY what she wants, and she isn't afraid to go for it! She is an excellent greeter and will confidently stomp up for pets and affection once she spots her favorite humans. Although her legs are a bit wonky, she seems to have no trouble getting around and will eagerly hop into your chair for a good cuddle. She enjoys wet food (very food motivated for the good stuff), sun bathing, and lounging in your lap while you pet her head and scratch her booty. She has such a bright and goofy personality! She would likely appreciate being the only kitty in her home, since she likes ALL the attention, but she does well co-existing with Over Easy in the foster room. Ellie Mae is very sweet and will brighten up the life of whoever invites her into their family."
Meet Ellie Mae! Ellie Mae came into the shelter as a stray and immediately became a favorite of staff due to her unique physical characteristics and adorably sweet personality! She may be a bit shy and more reserved initially, but with just a few pets and close snuggles this petite little lady will melt right into your arms. Once she is comfortable with her surroundings, she can be an active and curious kitty who likes to explore at times but most days you will find her lounging around in her favorite spots.
Ellie Mae is a low-key and calm girl who enjoys the companionship of her favorite people but she does startle easily from fast movements and loud noises. So, she is looking for a family with slightly older children at least 5 years of age or older who won't chase or scare her. She may do ok with other calm and respectful pets in the home given slow and proper introductions to one another.
If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application
