Chiquis is very active, curious and loves to explore her surroundings. She likes to climb the cat tree, file her nails and play with her cat toys when she’s awake. She likes to explore new things in her surroundings, likes to play in boxes and especially loves it when the cat fishing pole comes out. She will amaze you with her high jumps and can give a flying squirrel competition. Chiquis gets along well with other cats and is currently in a foster home with 2 female adult cats and one male adult cat. Chiquis likes wet food, dry food and crunchy treats too. She is vocal when she’s not happy and purrs when she’s content. She likes to snuggle with the other cats but will also catnap alone. She is young enough to adapt to changes and will be a great addition to most any loving home.

Their adoption process

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We are unable to do meet and greets without an appointment. But you can go online to see available cats as well as in-store.

2.
Submit Application

While the stores do stock paper applications, we recommend filling out our online form as this e-mails us right away.

3.
Interview

An adoption coordinator will reach out within 3 business days to you to discuss your application and answer any questions.

4.
Meet the Pet

Our adoption coordinater will schedule a meet & greet once the application is approved. We do not accept walk-ins except at events.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

If, at the meet and greet, you decide the cat is a match, you will be able to sign paperwork then and there to adopt the animal.

6.
Pay Fee

Our adoption fees are $175 per animal. We accept cash and credit card. There is a $8.31 processing fee for credit cards ($183.31)

7.
Take the Pet Home

That's it! You will need to leave PetSmart with the cat in a carrier per their policies but you can take them home and get them acclimated!

Additional adoption info

When you've signed the paperwork, we will send you home with a coupon booklet that includes many PetSmart coupons including $5 a hard carrier if you need to purchase one as well as a free bag of food to go home with.
