My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Max and I am THE BEST DOG EVER!! Yes, you read that right! You should snap me up now if you have been looking for the perfect family dog who gets along great with everyone, dogs, kids, cats, strangers, everyone! I am a sweet and easygoing, friendly, and happy Black Mouth Cur mix, about 5 years old, 50 lbs and I listen well in 2 languages (English & Spanish)! I already know how to sit and stay and if you tell me to go outside, I understand. I was a stray dog in Von Ormy Texas, hanging out at a local church, made friends with the pastor, and everyone was bringing me treats. One day a lady brought me home and she is now my foster mom, took me for vaccines, a neuter, microchip, and I took to living in a home like a duck to water. I must have been someone's pet at some point in the past because I have never had one potty accident indoors, I’m well-behaved and respectful, I never bark, I’m sweet and loving, I’m a one-in-a-million dog! My future looks bright, and I am so looking forward to joining a wonderful family anywhere on the East Coast! Inquire about me today and bring me home!

* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
