My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Look into my eyes and you can see that I’m not real comfortable with my current surroundings. Dogs are barking all around me and that scares me. I am a one year old 30 pound black lab retriever mix that came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/2 along with my sister Georgia. We are both missing patches of hair on our backs. The shelter is giving me Nexgard and I will be getting a skin scrape. If you want to know the results you can call Mesquite Animal Shelter and inquire. I’m not quite as timid as my sister Georgia. I cautiously came to Miss Judi and even wagged my tail. I told her I have not had much socialization and I’ve been mostly an outside dog so I have a lot to learn. But she said that she can tell that I’m real sweet, gentle, and will make a very loyal, loving pet. I need coaxing to walk on a leash, but I promise to get better. I don’t want to live outside anymore. I want to be an inside dog where I can give my new family lots of love. I do have lots of love to give.
