My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Apply to Adopt Me!

This is Stevie (Nicks), a 9-month-old, 8-lb., female chihuahua mix. She was owner surrendered after her former family left her outside in a hurricane and the next door neighbor rescued her. She is crate trained, mostly potty trained (she knows to go outside if taken out often as she is still a puppy), and walks well on a leash. She loves other dogs and people equally, she is very playful but also loves cuddling in your lap. She enjoys playing with toys and LOVES fetch and will always bring the toy/ball back and drop it at your feet. She is very submissive and gentle and will make an amazing companion for a household either with other dogs that she can play with or a household with no dogs as she does love human companionship as long as she is able to get exercise through daily walks and playing fetch - her foster mom feels confident she would do well with either. She sleeps all night long in a crate but would love to sleep in the human bed with her new family. She rides well in a car, and does not bark inside the home but she does bark on walks if another dog barks at her. She has not been exposed to cats but nothing indicates that she would have any issues with cats. Stevie's foster family absolutely adores her because she is so wonderful. Like all puppies she will need to have potty breaks every few hours and to continue her socialization with people and other dogs. Obedience training is highly recommended. A fenced yard is also important so Stevie can run around and burn off puppy energy. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe your family has the time, energy and love to devote to puppy Stevie, please send in an application and tell us more about your family.
