Mondrian and her sister, Mona Lisa, were adopted as kittens from Purr Partners a year ago and were found this September abandoned in an empty apartment. We hate to have things like this happen and can only imagine the terror these girls went through. Luckily we microchip all of our kittens, and we were able to get these sweet girls back so we can find their real forever homes.

Mondrian is a gentle, gorgeous girl and is a real lover and has a great purr. She likes to be brushed and petted, and she will climb up on your lap to snuggle in purring the whole time. She likes to play with little mice and balls, but one of her favorite things to do is curl up in her cat tree and take a nap. Mondrian has outgrown her kitten-ness, but is a delight to have around. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website and complete an application. This is not a commitment, but when we receive it, someone will contact you within 48 hours. The application is the first step in our process. Once you are approved, we can make arrangements for you to meet any of our cats or kittens. If you are not sure which one you might be interested in, we can help you narrow your search!
All our cats and kittens are fully vetted, tested, wormed and treated for fleas, spayed or neutered, UTD on vaccinations, and microchipped before adoption.

We are proud to be a PetSmart Charities Adoption Partner and manage the PetSmart Adoption Centers in Wake Forest at 11835 Retail Drive and in Raleigh at Six Forks Station, 8825 Six Forks Road, and at Capital Crossings, 2800 East Millbrook Road where adoption events are held every weekend from 11:00 am - 1 pm. Cats are in the Adoption Centers at all times. Follow us on Facebook to see which cats are at weekend adoptathons. (PurrPartnersNC). Covid has shortened our adoptathon hours, but we are always available by email which is the best way to reach us.

More about this rescue

Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, foster-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in Central North Carolina — incorporated in 2009 by two friends, four cats, and no budget. These two women realized the need for a "cat only" rescue that worked with rural shelters — where cats routinely lose their lives. Purr Partners was founded to save the lives of those most in jeopardy with little hope of survival. High-kill rural shelters became the focus for Purr Partners, and that is still true today. From those humble beginnings, the rescue has grown to over a hundred active volunteers and a budget of approximately $175,000. At any given time there are between 100 and 150 cats and kittens in foster care. We have saved the lives of over 3500 cats and are still growing!
