My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am available for Foster to Adopt Only.

Hi there, my name is Whitney! I’m a sweet and gentle hound mix who’s looking for a warm and loving forever home. At around 40 pounds, I’m a bit underweight right now, so I could really use a little extra care to help me get back to a healthy size. I may be small, but I have a big heart, and I’m ready to give all my love to the right family.

The shelter environment can be pretty overwhelming for me—it’s busy and noisy here, which makes me feel stressed out. I would thrive so much better in a calm, quiet home where I can finally feel safe and relaxed.

I also want to let you know that I’m Heartworm Positive, but please don’t let that discourage you. The staff can provide more information on what that means and the care I’ll need to get better. I have so much love to give, and I can’t wait to find a family who’ll be patient and understanding while I settle in. Please come by GCHS to meet me—I’d love a chance to show you what a wonderful, loyal friend I can be!
