My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsome Roman is sure to please the Shepherd lover. He is a young fella.we believe to be 1-2 yrs old. He is large in size at about 75 lbs. He is a beauty. There's nothing he likes more than engaging in playful activity. He is great with new people but, he is intimidated by small children. 10 yrs and up is recommended as he is a strong dog, as well. He is good with other dogs and we think nice cats would be OK, too.

If you think Roman might be a good fit contact fopcpky@gmail.com and request an application. Our shelter is located at 121 Echo Hollow Rd, Clay City, Ky. A temporary phone is being used. Can contact Teresa at 859-948-0371.

Roman's fee is being sponsored by a generous sponsor who visited and met Roman. He was much to her liking!! Roman comes neutered and UTD on vetting. Neuter surgery is scheduled once spoken for.

More about this shelter

The Friends of Powell County’s Pets is a Non-profit organization located in Powell County Kentucky. FOPCP works closely with Powell County’s animal control to increase the visibility of adoptable pets living in the county’s shelter, and to place these pets in rescues or forever homes. Any donation or grant money received goes to directly support the care of homeless cats and dogs in Powell County and to facilitate their transportation to no-kill facilities in the United States and Canada. Care includes emergency and acute veterinarian care, vaccinations, heartworm treatment/prevention, internal and external parasite treatment/prevention, spay/neuter, and treatment of communicable infectious illnesses among cats and dogs. We also strive to educate the community about the importance of spaying and neutering while providing low-cost spay and neuter clinics.
