My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wren!!!!

The sweet girl who is the life of the party was found in Mississippi as a stray. She came into the shelter with a luxitating patella. She had surgery on it to fix it. She's still to this day. Has a slight limp here and there. It does not bother or slow her down whatsoever.

Friend is looking for a active family who will take her on walks, hikes and even letting her run around the backyard with her dog friends. Wren loves to wrestle and romp with her humans and also her doggy siblings. She is very high on life! She loves her toys, balls, and chewing on bones. Wren is a very smart girl who is food motivated and will definitely learn lots in training class with you. She even might be the star of the class. In the evenings after Wren has gone to doggie daycare or just had a great active day, she will cuddle up on the couch with you and watch TV. Wren will definitely need exercise daily and mental stimulation to keep her happy.

Wren cannot wait to find her forever home and family to love them till the end of time. Even though she has lots of energy, she still has a fantastic personality and lots of love to give. Please apply for this party girl today and make her part of your family.

If interested in Wren, please apply online: ADOPTION APPLICATION or email us at Info.FetchingHeartsRescue@gmail.com.

More about this rescue

Fetching Hearts Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3), volunteer run rescue that is dedicated to saving dogs who have been abused, neglected or abandoned and finding loving, caring homes for them.

We rely on a network of foster families so that each dog that we pull into the safety of our rescue is placed in a foster home and is no longer confined to a life in a kennel.

We are committed to helping dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes by partnering with shelters and animal control services right here in Connecticut as well as with several high kill shelters in the South.

We do a full assessment of each dog's temperament and health to ensure that we are able to find the most suitable home for them. Every dog is fully vetted - meaning they are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and micro chipped - before being adopted.

The ASPCA estimates that approximately 3.3 million dogs in the United States enter shelters each year, of which approximately 670,000 are euthanized*. Our goal is to advocate for and provide education about the need for spaying and neutering to eliminate what has become an epidemic of unwanted dogs.*
