Behavior Notes:
12/14/24, per staff: OH MY GOODNESS SHE IS DOING SO MUCH BETTER. When I first opened the kennel she ran away and gave a low growl. However, she was very interested in treats, and she did sniff my hand. She loved her churu and after a few minutes of hanging out with her and giving her treats she was letting me pet her, and then headbutting for more pets and leaning into them. I would still reccomend a home with no young kids and a home that can be patient and give her a slow approach and respect her boundries, but she is showing massive improvement.
12/2/24, per staff, Still hisses anytime you opn her kennel door, but does not lunge or swat. Would recommend a home with no young kids and someone that can be patient and give her a slow approach
11/22/24, per staff: She was chilling on the shelf of her kennel. She started hissing and growling as soon as I opened the door or got close. Left her alone.
11/2/24, per staff: Evelyn was terrified in the lobby. When taken into the transfer room, she let me pet her head and I was able to easily pick her up and place her in a feral den.
11/2/24, per owner: very unfriendly wont let you pet or hold her, not social
8/13/23, staff noted: When approached, Evelyn was sitting calmly on the lowest level of her kennel. She watched me closely, but didn't hiss or react until I opened her kennel door. She then hissed and began to growl. As long as you give her space, she seems fine with you being in the room with her - just gets a little feisty when her kennel is opened.
7/23/23, staff noted: Evelyn is calm in her kennel and sitting on the highest shelf. She did not appear fearful or stressed when I entered the room, but hissed when I walked up to her kennel and put my hand up. Would benefit from quiet foster home or adopter willing to give her space to decompress!
