My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet River, the tabby cat who will flow right into your heart! With her smooth, graceful movements and calm demeanor, she's like a gentle stream - always there to soothe your soul. But don't be fooled! This River also has a wild side, occasionally turning into a playful rapids, chasing toys and zooming through your home with boundless energy. Whether she's drifting by for some quiet time or splashing into play mode, River is the perfect blend of tranquility and fun. Ready for a cat whose love will run deep? River is ready to make waves in your life!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
