What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I got Miso from a friend 6 years ago who was moving to Zambia and couldn't take her with him. Miso is absolutely wonderful and is the cutest, most delightful cat. She is gorgeous and the apple of everyone's eye, and she doesn't knock things over. She is good with kids, good with dogs, but doesn't seem to get along with other cats (she is scared of them).
Miso was perfect for the first three years, even though I seemed to only date women who were allergic to cats, but in the past 3 years she has taken a turn for the difficult: she occasionally eliminates outside the litterbox. At first it was infrequent, but then it became more frequent, and she has a particular preference for my bed.
After meeting with a cat behavioral therapist and the vet, we have determined that she's simply too stressed for a second-story one-bedroom apartment — she needs a bigger house or maybe even an outdoor space where she can be more entertained.
