Hi, I’m Asher! Your Future Best Friend Awaits!

Once upon a time, I roamed the wild with my clan, but those days are behind me—I’ve discovered the joy of human love, and I’m hooked! I’m young, full of life, and the minute you start petting me, you’ll know it’s my favorite thing in the world. I can’t get enough of those belly rubs and head scratches!

I’m quite the social butterfly, making friends wherever I go. Whether it’s humans or other furry companions, I get along with everyone I meet. Sweet, friendly, and always ready to cuddle up for a nap, I’m the kind of cat who will bring endless warmth to your home.

I’ve learned to trust and love, and now I’m on the lookout for my forever home where I can continue to share all the purrs, head butts, and unconditional love I have to offer. Why adopt me? Because I’ll fill your days with joy, companionship, and plenty of snuggles.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.

Animal House of South East Michigan is a 501 (c)3 no-kill animal rescue organization. We work primarily with cats and dogs through adoption, owner assistance and community education. We are a non-profit rescue that is run entirely by volunteers. We work in partnership with our local PetSmart, located on Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, MI.
