Meet Joey, a young canine soul with a heart full of love. Shyness is his initial approach, but don`t be fooled, his sweetness is just a treat away. He`s playful, and silly and enjoys his toys but also appreciates a good cuddle session. Joey thrives on positive reinforcement, so prepare for a life filled with `good boys` and plenty of treats, his favorite way of learning. Enrichment is key for Joey to help him channel his energy in a positive manner. Joey`s adoption would mean a loving home where he can grow, learn, and love. His sweet and playful nature, combined with his love for treats and learning, makes him the perfect companion for those willing to provide a nurturing environment.

We have a simple adoption application and approval process. Our adoption fees vary by animal, but generally include neutering, age appropriate vaccinations, behavior and health assessments, and health insurance. In addition, all adopters have free access to our Adopter Support program for assistance with health or behavior issues that may arise.

Ours adoptable pets are available every day noon to 5pm except for Sunday and until 7 pm on Wednesdays!

Michigan Humane is the oldest and largest animal welfare organization in Michigan, taking in approximately 35,000 animals per year.
