Lila, a beautiful lavender and white 3-year-old lovebird, and is a charmer. DNA Confirmed Male.
For the most part, He is a quiet bird but chitters to her image in the mirror.
He is not hand-tamed but will come out of his cage and fly around before settling on a high perch. He goes back into his cage on his own schedule. He shows no aggression when his foster mom cleans the cage or changes his food and water. He gets covered for the night around 8:30 – 9:00 PM and uncovered around 6:00 - 6:30 AM. He is quiet all night.
Lila is shy and will need loving attention to help him become more comfortable around people and possibly become hand-trained. He came into foster care after living in one home his entire life. He’s been going solo, having lost her cage mate 8 months ago.
He’s on a seed diet but enjoys cantaloupe and broccoli. We are offering pelleted food, with mixed results.
Lila has been disease-tested for psittacosis and PBFD.
Lila is being fostered in Easton, PA, and will only be adopted to a
forever home within driving distance.
We will not ship our birds.
Two visits are required to adopt Lila.
