He will need a mature, patient household who will allow him his desired pace and path to trust.While Bernie is unsure if he's house trained, he's a quick learner and with patience, he will surely master it. Bernie is also sociable with other dogs, making him a great companion for your other furry friends. Adopting Bernie means gaining a loyal friend who, despite his initial shyness, has a world of love to give. His Adoption team will support you with additional training resources!

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
