Kenneth is a handsome boy who weighs in at 52 pounds. He enjoys going on his walks and is surprising good on his leash for a dog that just came to us. Kenneth likes the sound of squeakers and is curious about the other dogs he sees. He lets people come up and pet him when on his walks without any issue and has a good disposition. He went on a hike with one of our amazing volunteers and they said he did great continually checking in and letting other people and dogs pass without much fuss. He does have a lot of energy at first, which is understandable coming from a kennel environment, but once he burns some of that energy off he really settles in.
This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.
If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.
A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal`s picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Before you go searching for free puppies or puppies for sale, check your local Shelters for available dogs and puppies that have been vetted and are ready to go home. Adopt Don`t Shop.
