My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Parker, a ten month old Jack Russell Terrier/Pit mix.

Parker is another one of those mixes where there is probably quite a few breeds in there, one staff member has even suggested some Whippet might be running around in him! He is 35 pounds of cuteness, the perfect size to be your next companion. Parker likes to be near his people getting the loves. He is a bit of a nervous boy right now, being new to our facility and obviously a little confused about what is going on. He looks to people for reassurance and is working on being more brave every day he is here. He would love to go home and snuggle against someone.

This pet is available for adoption on 11/3/2024 at 3:11 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.

If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.

A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal`s picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Before you go searching for free puppies or puppies for sale, check your local Shelters for available dogs and puppies that have been vetted and are ready to go home. Adopt Don`t Shop.
