Double Adoption with Sparkle, #D48976. Sprinkle and Sparkle’s blissful life was interrupted when their owner moved away. Having never experienced anything outside of their tranquil home, these bonded sisters have been doing their best to settle into shelter life, and have needed our guidance to reinforce that they will always be safe. Sprinkle feels this loss deeply but accepts treat incentives to bridge her confidence. Sparkle is summoning all her courage to face a new normal, but we’re assuring them both that more happy days are coming their way. If you have room in your heart and home to provide these sweet sisters their golden retirement, we know they will be sparkling with gratitude for that opportunity.

When you come down to NSALA an associate will help you figure out what kind of animal will do best in your situation. At that point they will take out the animals you are interested in so that you may get to know them. You will have plenty of time to play and interact with your new friend in our family friendly areas designated for that purpose. When you decide you want to adopt, an associate will help you fill out an application.

Our adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies (up to 6 months) $350
Adult Dogs (over 6 months) $100
Puppy Mill Rescues $250
Small Breed & Pure Breeds (over 6 months) $250
Kittens (up to 6 months) $100
Double Kittens $150
Adult Cats (over 6 months) $50
Double Adult Cats $75

Where applicable, a $50 Spay/Neuter deposit is required for kittens, $75 for puppies.

Our Adoption Center, is open every Thursday-Sunday 12pm-8pm. On average, our shelter is home to 350 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. Behind the scenes, the Adoption Center contains a nursery area, medical examination room and a grooming area where new admissions are health checked, vaccinated, bathed and groomed.

Visitors are reminded that adoption is a lifelong commitment. After selecting a pet, each potential adopter is thoroughly screened, ensuring each adopter recognizes the life-changing commitment a new pet can be. To date, over 1,000,000 pet owners have met our high standards and adopted a pet from North Shore Animal League America.
