My name is RUFUS!

Meet Rufus, a 2-year-old Shepherd mix who’s ready to find his forever home! Rufus may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, he’s all about the fun, and he’s got a heart full of love to give. Though he can be a bit hesitant at first—he’s got a cautious side—once Rufus feels safe, he’s a whole different dog! His tail wags, his body wiggles, and he’s eager to play.

Rufus absolutely loves sniffing around and exploring new places, especially when there’s a big, grassy park involved. As soon as he steps on the grass, his joy is palpable—expect some zoomies and a big, happy tail! He’s a big fan of toys too, especially squeaky ones, and he can’t resist a good game of `find it` with his snuffle mat. He also enjoys cuddles and will happily come over for pets, especially when you`re sitting down—he`ll happily paw at the wall to greet you with a wagging tail and a big smile.

While Rufus can be a bit skittish in new situations, he’s a quick learner and is making great progress. He’s mastered the `sit` command and is always eager to please when treats are involved (pupperoni is a favorite!). Rufus is a sweet, gentle boy who would thrive in a calm, patient home where he can continue to build confidence and enjoy all the fun adventures life has to offer.
