Meet Scooby! This guy might not be solvin' any mysteries, but he is looking for his own gang! Scooby is a sweet, goofy, fun-loving pup and he'd be a good match for just about anybody. He's also polite on leash and has reportedly lived well with cats and dogs in the past. Just trust us - you need this guy in your life!

Scooby is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. You can meet him at the CASPCA anytime between 12 and 6 PM, no appointment necessary. If you have questions about Scooby, please email our adoptions staff at adoptions@caspca.org. We would be more than happy to tell you all about him!

Additional adoption info

We ask potential adopters to fill out a matchmaker form. When they are ready to adopt an animal and the form and interview process indicates a good match, we have the adopter sign an adoption contract promising that the animal will receive good physical and emotional care. Fees vary and we often have adoption specials. Fees for senior pets are sponsored. Otherwise, dogs are $100, puppies $150 and up, cats are $75, kittens are $95.

The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that provides a safe environment for the lost, abandoned, and homeless animals of Charlottesville and Albemarle County and places them in good homes. We strive to set a standard of excellence and leadership in animal care, humane education, and progressive animal welfare programs. Our staff and volunteers are passionate about caring for the animals in our shelter and placing them in good homes.
