Obito is a recent arrival to the shelter, but he has already won our hearts. He has the looks and personality of a small Black Lab. He wants nothing more than to give and receive love, even wagging in his intake photo. He walks nicely on leash and takes treats with a soft, gentle mouth. When we take him out to the play yard, he is happy to check things out and sniff around, but mostly he wants to stay by your side and cuddle. Come meet this sweet boy today!

We have many wonderful pets waiting to be adopted! Adoption fees are $85 for dogs and $65 for cats (Dogs over 5 years old, $40). The adoption fee to persons over 55 years old is $40. Adoptions includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, heartworm test, fecal test, and Feline Leukemia/FIV test for cats.

Managed by LifeLine Animal Project, DeKalb County Animal Services provides a humane environment for DeKalb County’s homeless pets. We also provide other services such as veterinary care for our animals including spay/neuter surgeries, pet adoptions, pet reclaims, volunteer programs, foster home programs, rescue group coordination, and other lifesaving programs.
