Dex is a handsome, smart, and sweet brindle Plott Hound mix looking for a loving home! He is housebroken, is an excellent loose-leash walker, knows basic commands, and overall is a quick learner who is eager to please. Dex's family could no longer take care of him, and he's adjusting well in foster care after a tough time in the shelter, where he missed the comforts of his home. A working breed with moderate energy, he'd be an ideal match for a home that can offer him playtime and plenty of cuddles.
Dex thrives on companionship and interaction. He loves the company of other dogs and is a cheerful and polite doggie playmate, easily taking cues when it's time to take a break and relax for a while. He is very attuned to how his humans are feeling and loves to cozy up with them at the end of the day. While he hasn't yet had the opportunity to meet children or cats in his foster home, overall he seems adaptable, affectionate, and gentle.
